***Devotees of St. Therese of the Child Jesus (St. Therese of Lisieux) will have a chance to view and venerate her pilgrim relics from December 15, 2012, to April 15, 2013, when the pilgrim relics of St. Therese of the Child Jesus (St. Therese of Lisieux) visit the Philippines for the third time.

The Military Ordinariate of the Philippines (MOP) or the Catholic Military Diocese is organizing the tour of St. Therese’s pilgrim relics in 47 archdioceses, dioceses, and some military camps in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

ImageTo ensure the success of the relics’ Philippine pilgrimage, the organizers have established the 1,000 R.O.S.E.S. (Relics of St. Therese Empowered Supporters) fund drive.  Donors can pledge to donate PhP1, 000 for five months from July 2012 to November 2012.  Donations can be made in cash or checks can be made payable to the Roman Catholic Bishop of the AFP and PNP – St. Therese Relics. Larger donations are most welcome.

St. Therese of the Child Jesus is renowned for many miracles and intercessions granted to her devotees including healing of serious illnesses, and she is the patron saint of tuberculosis and AIDS sufferers, pilots, illness, loss of parents, and missionaries, and is the secondary patroness of France.  Pope Pius XII hailed her as the “greatest saint of modern times” while Pope John Paul II declared her as a Doctor of the Church.  Her feast day is on October 1.
